Anne’s concern for social justice was always evident in her teaching and administration in Sacred Heart Schools and in her work on the Provincial Team. Anne served on the Network Commission on Goals (1995-1992), St Ignatius School Board in Grand Coteau (1993-2002) and the Pastoral Council of the Diocese of Lafayette, Louisiana (2000-2003. From 1990 until 2005, Anne lived in Grand Coteau where she interacted with the people of the town. From 1993 until 2005, she worked with women and children in the shelter at the New Life Center. In 2012 she moved to New Orleans and joined The Duchesne House for Volunteers where she helped host high school and college volunteers. She was happiest when working among the poor whether in Grand Coteau, Opelousas, or in the rebuilding of New Orleans after Katrina.
