Bobby was sometimes dubbed a "Renaissance Woman" because of her many interests and talents. Her work in parish ministry heightened her knowledge and experience of the critical needs of those who were powerless to change their circumstances. That, combined with her prayer, impelled her to become personally involved in Social Justice issues.  In 1993 she joined Retsy Piper’s work as a literacy educator at Somerset County Jail in New Jersey.  She spent 13 years bringing to this service all her energy and educator’s gifts of mind and spirit.  Bobby was also involved in promoting the Fourth World Movement during her time in Washington, DC.  To learn more about Bobby's life, click the link to her obituary.
