Diane was drawn to the Society because of the witness of Carol Putnam and other RSCJ in the South End of Boston in the mid 1970s. She spent her early years working with the children and adults of Sursum Corda Village in Washington, DC, eventually helping to convert it into a tenant-owned Co-op. Her interest in affordable housing led her to become trained as a resident manager and to get her real estate license, skills which she used working for various non-profit and commercial housing providers in St. Louis, Boston and New Orleans. She also used her organizational development skills during her four years living and working in Haiti. In her sixties, Diane's interest shifted to mentoring young adults interested in Justice and Spirituality, first in New Orleans and later in Washington, DC.
