Elaine Abels

Elaine Abels, rscj...began working in 1980 as staff chaplain at the Bergan Mercy Hospital;  in 1985 she was appointed hospital chaplain.  In 2000 she wrote of that experience: "I worked mostly in oncology, and for me accompanying dying and sick patients has been a true gift.  I have experienced this ministry as holy ground."  To learn more about Elaine's work as a chaplain, click on the link under her name.
