Relationship to the Society:
RSCJ
The Catholic Connection was founded in 1980 by a group of lay people who wanted a justice and peace organization in the conservative Archdiocese of Boston to which they could look with pride. As its first Director I organized three task forces: Peace,
Central America and Housing and Homelessness. A woman who was an expert on the nuclear question headed the Peace Taskforce, and I managed the Housing and Central America Taskforces. Non-staffers joined the task forces and there was a Board. (to read more about Magee's work with the Catholic Connection click on the link under her picture)
