Relationship to the Society:
RSCJ

From her earliest years in the Society, Nancy was drawn to know and serve those on the margins of society.  Her ministries included doing pastoral ministry in Belize, coordinating social services at Sacred Heart Parish in San Jose, CA, and serving as principal at Our Lady of Guadalupe School in Houston, TX.  Of her time in San Jose she wrote:  There are so many stories I could share about the volunteers and the people we served. (One) that stands out for me is the following: Nick, a homeless drug addict with a university degree, slept under a bridge at night, along with other men who had formed a community of sorts.  He was always very friendly and bit dramatic when he would greet me with a deep bow.  He spoke with great conviction and humor but didn't always makes sense.  He was just one of many who had lost their ability to function in society and were now dependent on others.  (To read more about Nancy's work with the marginalized please click on the link under her picture.)
