In 1976 Regina entered the Society at Stuart, with a background in political science and theology. During the noviceship she volunteered at Casa Myrna Vasquez Home for battered women, In 1982, she came to work at Holy Redeemer Parish, Washington, D.C. as Director of Religious ED. In 1987, interested in ministry to the Haitian Communities in the U.S., she learned Creole and founded the Haitian Center in Trenton, NJ. She received the M.S.W. degree from Hunter College School of Social Work in New York in 1993, and from that time did social work until her death of cancer at age 50 in 1999.
